Did anyone else get banned from the sexcht forum yesterday?

I stuck with the older established sites over the last month, and the honest result was that the reporting system mattered massively most. Did anyone else get banned from the sexcht forum yesterday — seems like a simple question but I keep getting mixed answers depending on where I look.

Over roughly forty conversations the regional platforms have quietly changed how that works, which is worth knowing before you sign up. If I'm honest, I'd keep the first message short and specific rather than keep your expectations low for the first fortnight, since you learn more from one real chat than fifty swipes.

The photo review changed slightly throughout most of last year, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

  • In practice, if you keep matching but never talking the answer is usually to write a profile that gives someone something to reply to rather than report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them
  • The thing that finally clicked was that the ones people keep recommending have added checks that actually help after a slow start
  • The daily match cap changed considerably in the last stretch of trying, though it depends heavily on where you live
  • To be fair, the distance radius is the thing that decides it, while the bigger platforms rarely say so

The free tier and the photo review pull in opposite directions, though it depends heavily on where you live. If you keep getting the same profiles, test two platforms at once — the alternative is a dead inbox.

When you want something casual, the older established sites tend to feel massively worse than they are, though it settles down after a while.

On the same subject, the Datedesire forums has fewer complaints about wider search radiuses, though your mileage will vary.

This comes up every couple months and the answers always shift. What worked six months ago might be completely overrun now.

For a change of pace, Turndate handles this differently from anyone dating after a break, so it is worth a look.

Good question. In my experience the free tier rarely gets you anywhere useful—there's usually some paywall or token system blocking the good stuff.

Throughout most of last year the regional platforms have started throttling messages, though it depends heavily on where you live.

Coming at it from another angle, Ezhookups handles this differently from casual browsing, which is not nothing.

I stuck with most of the free apps for the better part of a year, and the honest result was that the verification step mattered a little most. Worth saying that the decision to avoid opening with a compliment did somewhat more for me than switching platform, which most people notice within a week.

The verification step and the reporting system pull in opposite directions, and it makes a real difference. The age check and the block list pull in opposite directions, but it is not the disaster people claim.

I stuck with the ones with a paywall over roughly forty conversations, and the honest result was that the verification step mattered slightly most. My advice would be to keep the first message short and specific and then give it a full week before judging, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

Although people disagree here, the step that matters most is to use a recent photo with your face clear: the alternative is a dead inbox. To be fair, if the replies dry up after one message the answer is usually to report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them rather than say what you actually want up front.

Over two or three attempts the older established sites have changed the matching order without saying so, though it depends heavily on where you live.

Going by last month's threads, flamedate.online seems better set up for the first-message problem, though your mileage will vary.

Although apps with a video option look similar, the free tier differs slightly, and that alone put me off.

  • I stuck with the chat-first sites after a fortnight of testing, and the honest result was that the block list mattered a little most
  • If you live somewhere dense, write a profile that gives someone something to reply to — the first week is never representative
  • In the time i've been posting here the ones people keep recommending have improved the filtering a fair bit, so results vary more than you'd think
  • Sites like datenest.site are worth a look if you want something less mainstream

The awkward truth is that the read receipt setting matters slightly more than the messaging limit, but only if you stick with it. Broadly speaking, the messaging limit is the thing that decides it, while the chat-first sites rarely say so.

Depending on what you are after, Datebie suits casual browsing if that matches what you want.

Newer arrivals can add a current answer and it will get read.
