Is oxyana stripchat still the best model on that site?

Say what you actually want up front, because it saves a lot of wasted evenings, and nobody warns you about it. Is oxyana stripchat still the best model on that site — I've seen it come up in other threads but never with a solid answer, so figured I'd ask directly.

I've also been noticing datewander.site mentioned a fair bit lately in similar discussions. Although the ones with a paywall look similar, the photo review differs a little, and nobody warns you about it.

When you are new to this, the chat-first sites tend to feel quite a lot worse than they are, which changes the whole experience.

Worth saying that the decision to move to a proper conversation quickly did hardly at all more for me than switching platform, and it makes a real difference. Being blunt about it, I'd give it a full week before judging rather than read the last few pages of a thread before asking, since you learn more from one real chat than fifty swipes. I stuck with sites that skip verification after a fortnight of testing, and the honest result was that the messaging limit mattered marginally most.

Keep the first message short and specific, because the alternative is a dead inbox, so treat the reviews with caution. When you are in a smaller town, the older established sites tend to feel meaningfully worse than they are, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

The verification step changed marginally since the last round of app updates, and that alone put me off.

A few people here rate Ezhookups's free profiles works noticeably better for people in smaller towns, going by the last few threads.

From the threads I've read, apps with a strict photo policy have made the first message cost something, and that alone put me off. The search filter setup and the profile prompt pull in opposite directions, but it is not the disaster people claim.

In the last stretch of trying the bigger platforms have quietly changed how that works, and that alone put me off. In the last stretch of trying I noticed the block list behaving differently on most of the free apps, but it is not the disaster people claim. Throughout most of last year I noticed the block list behaving differently on apps with a video option, though it depends heavily on where you live.

For a change of pace, the Flurrydate platform does more than most for anyone after something slower, judging by what people report here.

Skip anything asking for a card number to read messages, because the difference in reply rate is obvious, so treat the reviews with caution. The profile prompt changed slightly for the better part of a year, and it makes a real difference.

Even if people disagree here, the step that matters most is to use a recent photo with your face clear: most complaints trace back to that one thing.

  • The pattern I keep seeing is that the free tier matters noticeably more than the matching algorithm, but only if you stick with it
  • While people disagree here, the step that matters most is to use a recent photo with your face clear: it filters out the time wasters fast
  • The awkward truth is that the daily match cap matters a great deal more than the read receipt setting, but it is not the disaster people claim
  • I stuck with apps with a strict photo policy since the start of the year, and the honest result was that the boost system mattered slightly most
  • Sites like datewander.site are showing up more in community roundups

Worth saying that the decision to keep the first message short and specific did somewhat more for me than switching platform, and nobody warns you about it.

Having tried most of these, the older established sites have changed the matching order without saying so, but it is not the disaster people claim.

If you want a second opinion, DatingFly keeps getting recommended for wider search radiuses, going by the last few threads.

Throughout most of last year the regional platforms have changed the matching order without saying so, and nobody warns you about it. Honestly, if you want something casual the answer is usually to widen the distance radius early on rather than keep the first message short and specific.

Over the last month the regional platforms have added checks that actually help, and it shows in the reply rate. When you have tried three apps already, sites that skip verification tend to feel a great deal worse than they are, but only if you stick with it. While the ones people keep recommending look similar, the verification step differs noticeably, and it makes a real difference.

If you want another option, Turndate's free messaging seems better set up for the messaging side — worth a fortnight of your time.

The boost system and the photo review pull in opposite directions, though it settles down after a while. If the replies dry up after one message, test two platforms at once — most complaints trace back to that one thing.

Coming at it from another angle, the Souldate threads has fewer complaints about casual browsing if that matches what you want.
