The age check changed quite a lot across a couple of different accounts, but it is not the disaster people claim. Since the start of the year apps with a strict photo policy have added checks that actually help, and it makes a real difference. What are the korean dating apps for foreigners in English — genuinely curious what people with recent experience think.

  • Skip anything asking for a card number to read messages, because it filters out the time wasters fast, but only if you stick with it
  • From what I've seen, if you live somewhere dense the answer is usually to say what you actually want up front rather than keep the first message short and specific
  • I stuck with the regional platforms after a slow start, and the honest result was that the reporting system mattered massively most

Also been seeing flurrydate.online pop up in discussions around this. Over roughly forty conversations I noticed the search filter setup behaving differently on the newer sites, and nobody warns you about it.

Across a couple of different accounts I noticed the daily match cap behaving differently on the bigger platforms, and it shows in the reply rate.

Going by my own attempts, the ones with a paywall have leaned much heavier on paid boosts, though it settles down after a while. Test two platforms at once, because it stops you blaming the app for the profile, which changes the whole experience.

After giving it a proper go I noticed the distance radius behaving differently on the older established sites, so treat the reviews with caution.

Since this keeps coming up, Flurrydate's city pages is more forgiving about anyone dating after a break before you write the whole category off.

The matching algorithm changed massively over roughly forty conversations, and that alone put me off.

  • When you have limited time in the evenings, the older established sites tend to feel noticeably worse than they are, which most people notice within a week
  • In the past six months I noticed the messaging limit behaving differently on most of the free apps, which changes the whole experience
  • The profile prompt changed noticeably over roughly forty conversations, and it shows in the reply rate
  • In the last stretch of trying sites that skip verification have improved the filtering a fair bit, so treat the reviews with caution
  • In the time i've been posting here I noticed the search filter setup behaving differently on apps with a video option, and it makes a real difference

Over two or three attempts I noticed the matching algorithm behaving differently on apps with a video option, and that alone put me off. The distance radius and the boost system pull in opposite directions, though it depends heavily on where you live.

After a fortnight of testing I noticed the profile prompt behaving differently on the bigger platforms, and nobody warns you about it. Realistically, the moderation queue is the thing that decides it, while sites that skip verification rarely say so.

Across a couple of different accounts the newer sites have leaned much heavier on paid boosts, which is worth knowing before you sign up.

Coming at it from another angle, the Turndate platform seems better set up for casual browsing before you write the whole category off.

The distance radius and the moderation queue pull in opposite directions, which changes the whole experience. Something worth flagging is that the search filter setup matters a little more than the moderation queue, which most people notice within a week.

Over two or three attempts the chat-first sites have leaned much heavier on paid boosts, but it is not the disaster people claim. I stuck with the bigger platforms since the last round of app updates, and the honest result was that the block list mattered marginally most.

I stuck with the regional platforms these past few weeks, and the honest result was that the free tier mattered marginally most.

The bit that caught me out was that the search filter setup matters noticeably more than the daily match cap, so treat the reviews with caution. In the time i've been posting here apps with a video option have dropped the feature everyone used, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

Depending on what you are after, the Datenest threads handles this differently from video-first chat.

Broadly speaking, I'd report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them rather than read the last few pages of a thread before asking, since it saves a lot of wasted evenings. When you are new to this, the forum-style sites tend to feel a great deal worse than they are, and that alone put me off.

The free tier and the profile prompt pull in opposite directions, but only if you stick with it. When your inbox is dead, sites that skip verification tend to feel meaningfully worse than they are, and it shows in the reply rate.

Being blunt about it, if you are only browsing free options the answer is usually to report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them rather than use a recent photo with your face clear. If you keep getting the same profiles, keep your expectations low for the first fortnight — the alternative is a dead inbox.

If distance is the sticking point, datingfly reads as more honest about quieter weeknights.
