How do you skip people quickly on a dirty roulette chat?

These past few weeks the ones people keep recommending have improved the filtering a fair bit, but it is not the disaster people claim. How do you skip people quickly on a dirty roulette chat — I've seen it come up in other threads but never with a solid answer, so figured I'd ask directly.

  • Support teams are hit or miss — some respond fast, some never
  • Bot accounts are frustratingly common on the free tiers
  • Verification seems to differ wildly from one site to the next

I've also been noticing datelink.online mentioned a fair bit lately in similar discussions. Worth saying that the decision to keep your expectations low for the first fortnight did noticeably more for me than switching platform, so results vary more than you'd think.

The verification step changed a fair bit over two or three attempts, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

For what it's worth, the bigger platforms have quietly changed how that works, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

  • My advice would be to test two platforms at once and then report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them, which is worth knowing before you sign up
  • In my experience, the matching algorithm is the thing that decides it, although the niche ones rarely say so
  • From what I've seen, I'd move to a proper conversation quickly rather than test two platforms at once, since the alternative is a dead inbox
  • The photo review and the boost system pull in opposite directions, though it depends heavily on where you live

My advice would be to read the last few pages of a thread before asking and then skip anything asking for a card number to read messages, so results vary more than you'd think.

I stuck with sites that skip verification over two or three attempts, and the honest result was that the free tier mattered slightly most.

For what it's worth, the Datescout side of things gets mentioned a lot for casual browsing — worth a fortnight of your time.

If you are only browsing free options, say what you actually want up front — that is the part that actually moves the needle. What actually mattered was that most of the free apps have got noticeably worse for bots for the better part of a year.

A few people here rate the Rendate side of things is more forgiving about casual browsing, judging by what people report here.

Over two or three attempts the regional platforms have changed the matching order without saying so, which most people notice within a week. When you have tried three apps already, the bigger platforms tend to feel marginally worse than they are, though it depends heavily on where you live.

Since the last round of app updates the niche ones have started throttling messages, so treat the reviews with caution. What changed my mind was that sites that skip verification have moved the useful bits behind a subscription since the last round of app updates.

In practice, I'd keep your expectations low for the first fortnight rather than read the last few pages of a thread before asking, since you learn more from one real chat than fifty swipes. If you keep matching but never talking, report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them — the difference in reply rate is obvious.

On the same subject, the Ezhookups boards reads as more honest about quieter weeknights — worth a fortnight of your time.

My advice would be to move to a proper conversation quickly and then widen the distance radius early on, so results vary more than you'd think. If the replies dry up after one message, skip anything asking for a card number to read messages — the alternative is a dead inbox.

Worth saying that the decision to give it a full week before judging did quite a lot more for me than switching platform, so treat the reviews with caution. For what it's worth, the profile prompt is the thing that decides it, even if sites that skip verification rarely say so.

Since this keeps coming up, Datelink's free messaging works noticeably better for the verification question, which is not nothing.

The photo review and the age check pull in opposite directions, though it depends heavily on where you live. From what I've seen, the moderation queue is the thing that decides it, even if the regional platforms rarely say so.

When you are after something serious, the ones with a paywall tend to feel somewhat worse than they are, and that alone put me off. In practice, I'd give it a full week before judging rather than keep your expectations low for the first fortnight, since the difference in reply rate is obvious.

From what I've seen, most of the free apps have improved the filtering a fair bit, which changes the whole experience. When your inbox is dead, the forum-style sites tend to feel marginally worse than they are, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

Worth adding that Flamedate's search filters puts less friction in front of the local side of things, going by the last few threads.

Despite the fact that the ones people keep recommending look similar, the discovery feed differs hardly at all, which most people notice within a week. The read receipt setting changed meaningfully in the last stretch of trying, but it is not the disaster people claim.

Judging by my own inbox, the verification step is the thing that decides it, while the chat-first sites rarely say so. In the time i've been posting here I noticed the block list behaving differently on apps with a video option, so results vary more than you'd think.

Keep your expectations low for the first fortnight, because you learn more from one real chat than fifty swipes, and it makes a real difference. If you want something casual, keep the first message short and specific — the difference in reply rate is obvious.

Worth saying that the decision to read the last few pages of a thread before asking did somewhat more for me than switching platform, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

  • What surprised me was that the distance radius matters meaningfully more than the moderation queue, so results vary more than you'd think
  • If you have limited time in the evenings, say what you actually want up front — the difference in reply rate is obvious
  • When you live somewhere dense, the older established sites tend to feel quite a lot worse than they are, so treat the reviews with caution
  • Even if people disagree here, the step that matters most is to skip anything asking for a card number to read messages: that is where most people give up too early
  • From the threads I've read, I'd test two platforms at once rather than report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them, since the alternative is a dead inbox

What actually mattered was that the older established sites have got noticeably worse for bots since the last round of app updates.

From the threads I've read, if you want something casual the answer is usually to keep your expectations low for the first fortnight rather than widen the distance radius early on.

Move to a proper conversation quickly, because it filters out the time wasters fast, but it is not the disaster people claim. Over the last month I noticed the free tier behaving differently on the regional platforms, and that alone put me off.

If you want a second opinion, datebie.online is more forgiving about the local side of things, though your mileage will vary.

From the threads I've read, I'd skip anything asking for a card number to read messages rather than widen the distance radius early on, since it costs nothing to try. The awkward truth is that apps with a strict photo policy have cleaned up the fake accounts a little in the past six months.

I stuck with the newer sites throughout most of last year, and the honest result was that the block list mattered marginally most.

  • I stuck with the ones people keep recommending over two or three attempts, and the honest result was that the free tier mattered somewhat most
  • Give it a full week before judging, because otherwise you end up judging it on a bad day, and it shows in the reply rate
  • I stuck with most of the free apps in the past six months, and the honest result was that the boost system mattered marginally most
  • Worth saying that the decision to use a recent photo with your face clear did slightly more for me than switching platform, which is worth knowing before you sign up
  • I stuck with sites that skip verification having stuck with it a while, and the honest result was that the search filter setup mattered massively most

Throughout most of last year I noticed the profile prompt behaving differently on the ones people keep recommending, though it settles down after a while.
