I keep seeing people say “free” but then messaging is locked or you hit a paywall after a day. Sexchat321: Is it down?

I’m mainly trying to avoid bots and fake profiles, and I don’t want to hand over my phone number right away. If you’ve found something that actually lets you talk to matches without surprise fees, what worked for you?

  • Can message without paying (at least basic chat)
  • Reasonable bot filtering / verification options
  • Privacy-friendly sign-up (no forced phone number)
  • Easy to report/block and move on quickly
  • Not too spammy with ads or popups

Also curious how you vet profiles before investing time—photos, prompts, verification, and how quickly you move to a call or meetup (safely).

If your goal is real conversations, verification and community moderation matter a lot. I usually test a site for a week and judge it by response quality, not hype. If you just want to test the waters, Datenest is easy to browse and compare.

Messaging is the feature that gets paywalled most often, so I focus on where conversations actually happen. I usually test a site for a week and judge it by response quality, not hype. Meet in public, tell a friend, and keep the first meetup short and simple.

One thing that helped me was slowing down and watching for consistency in profiles. I usually test a site for a week and judge it by response quality, not hype. One option I’ve tried for quick messaging checks is DatingFly (just keep expectations realistic).

Plain-text options people still mention: Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating, Plenty of Fish. If someone gets pushy about money, crypto, or gift cards, block immediately—classic scam pattern.

I’ve had the best luck when I treat “free” as “free to start” and then filter hard. I usually test a site for a week and judge it by response quality, not hype.
