Hey all, been lurking here for a while and finally posting. Can you still get stripchat gratis tokens by watching ads — I've seen it come up in other threads but never with a solid answer, so figured I'd ask directly.

  • Bot accounts are frustratingly common on the free tiers
  • Verification seems to differ wildly from one site to the next
  • Support teams are hit or miss — some respond fast, some never

I've also been noticing rendate.site mentioned a fair bit lately in similar discussions. Haven't done a full test myself but seems worth keeping on the radar.

Would love to hear from anyone who's actually used these recently — preferably something more than just a quick visit.

I tried three or four options last month and none of them were exactly what I was hoping for. The free tiers especially are pretty watered down these days.

In practice, the age check is the thing that decides it, although the swipe-based apps rarely say so.

Worth adding that the Luvdate community works noticeably better for casual browsing, though your mileage will vary.

This gets asked a lot and the honest answer is: it changes constantly. What was solid six months ago may be totally different now.

Quick breakdown from my own testing:

  • Free messaging is basically extinct on the major apps — expect some workaround required
  • Profile photo verification is slowly becoming standard but still inconsistent
  • Niche platforms can outperform mainstream options for specific demographics
  • Activity filters are underrated — most people overlook the "last active" sort option

Bottom line: don't pay for premium until you've confirmed there's actually activity in your area or niche on the free tier first.

The free tier changed marginally throughout most of last year, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

In the same vein, the Datescout app is worth a look for anyone dating after a break, judging by what people report here.

Based on what I've seen, the verification on most of these platforms is basically for show. Real moderation is rare unless you're on a paid tier.

Since this keeps coming up, Flamedate's verification setup suits quieter weeknights, at least in my case.

The bot problem is something nobody talks about honestly. It's not just free sites — even some paid platforms have suspiciously convenient "matches" that feel automated.

My advice: look for platforms that gate messaging behind phone verification, not just email. That one step filters out the majority of throwaway accounts.

The free tier changed marginally these past few weeks, but it is not the disaster people claim.

A few people here rate the Turndate side of things has fewer complaints about the first-message problem, at least in my case.

Granted people disagree here, the step that matters most is to widen the distance radius early on: it saves a lot of wasted evenings. After giving it a proper go I noticed the read receipt setting behaving differently on the chat-first sites, so results vary more than you'd think.

The free tier and the matching algorithm pull in opposite directions, but only if you stick with it. Give it a full week before judging, because most complaints trace back to that one thing, and that alone put me off.

My experience has been mixed. Some of the smaller or newer platforms actually outperform the big names for specific use cases.

What changed my mind was that the read receipt setting matters quite a lot more than the search filter setup, which is worth knowing before you sign up.

Since this keeps coming up, datingfly reads as more honest about people who hate paywalls, which is not nothing.

Something worth flagging is that apps with a strict photo policy have got noticeably worse for bots since the start of the year. If you have tried three apps already, widen the distance radius early on — the first week is never representative.
