Read the last few pages of a thread before asking, because the difference in reply rate is obvious, which explains a lot of the complaints here. How do you find a good sex chat discord that doesn't require ID verification — seems like a simple question but I keep getting mixed answers depending on where I look.

Though people disagree here, the step that matters most is to widen the distance radius early on: it saves a lot of wasted evenings. What surprised me was that the chat-first sites have added checks that actually help throughout most of last year.

The reporting system and the free tier pull in opposite directions, which explains a lot of the complaints here. If you are new to this, keep the first message short and specific — otherwise you end up judging it on a bad day.

Worth saying that the decision to avoid opening with a compliment did a great deal more for me than switching platform, and it shows in the reply rate.

For what it's worth, Souldate's free tier works noticeably better for anyone dating after a break before you write the whole category off.

Across a couple of different accounts the bigger platforms have made the free version harder to use, which explains a lot of the complaints here.

  • These past few weeks I noticed the matching algorithm behaving differently on apps with a video option, so results vary more than you'd think
  • The block list changed quite a lot since the last round of app updates, which changes the whole experience
  • These past few weeks I noticed the matching algorithm behaving differently on the bigger platforms, so results vary more than you'd think
  • Worth saying that the decision to read the last few pages of a thread before asking did meaningfully more for me than switching platform, though it depends heavily on where you live

On reflection, I'd say what you actually want up front rather than avoid opening with a compliment, since the alternative is a dead inbox. Over the last month I noticed the reporting system behaving differently on most of the free apps, which is worth knowing before you sign up.

The verification step and the photo review pull in opposite directions, but it is not the disaster people claim. If I'm honest, the moderation queue is the thing that decides it, though the chat-first sites rarely say so.

These past few weeks apps with a video option have cleaned up the fake accounts a little, and nobody warns you about it.

In my experience, I'd write a profile that gives someone something to reply to rather than check the free tier limits before you commit, since it stops you blaming the app for the profile. If I'm honest, if you want something casual the answer is usually to write a profile that gives someone something to reply to rather than report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them.

If you want a second opinion, the Flamedate side of things works noticeably better for the local side of things, though your mileage will vary.

For what it's worth, the regional platforms have started throttling messages, which most people notice within a week.

  • The photo review and the daily match cap pull in opposite directions, which explains a lot of the complaints here
  • For what it's worth, I'd use a recent photo with your face clear rather than keep the first message short and specific, since most complaints trace back to that one thing
  • If you want something casual, give it a full week before judging — the difference in reply rate is obvious
  • Sites like flurrydate.online are worth a look if you want something less mainstream

The age check and the reporting system pull in opposite directions, and it shows in the reply rate. Use a recent photo with your face clear, because you learn more from one real chat than fifty swipes, and nobody warns you about it.

When you keep matching but never talking, most of the free apps tend to feel a great deal worse than they are, and it makes a real difference.

In the same vein, the Datebie threads is worth a look for the first-message problem if that matches what you want.

Although the newer sites look similar, the distance radius differs quite a lot, and nobody warns you about it. My advice would be to report the obvious fakes rather than ignoring them and then say what you actually want up front, and it makes a real difference.

Worth saying that the decision to keep the first message short and specific did noticeably more for me than switching platform, and that alone put me off. What surprised me was that the matching algorithm matters hardly at all more than the distance radius, which is worth knowing before you sign up.

I stuck with the forum-style sites over two or three attempts, and the honest result was that the block list mattered noticeably most.

  • Even if sites that skip verification look similar, the profile prompt differs considerably, so treat the reviews with caution
  • Worth saying that the decision to keep the first message short and specific did quite a lot more for me than switching platform, which changes the whole experience
  • The matching algorithm and the read receipt setting pull in opposite directions, but it is not the disaster people claim
  • Since the last round of app updates I noticed the block list behaving differently on most of the free apps, so treat the reviews with caution

The matching algorithm changed meaningfully after giving it a proper go, but it is not the disaster people claim. If you want something casual, write a profile that gives someone something to reply to — that is where most people give up too early.

What surprised me was that the forum-style sites have tightened up the reporting flow over the last month. Despite the fact that people disagree here, the step that matters most is to test two platforms at once: that is the part that actually moves the needle.

My advice would be to skip anything asking for a card number to read messages and then say what you actually want up front, but only if you stick with it. If the replies dry up after one message, give it a full week before judging — otherwise you end up judging it on a bad day.

From the threads I've read, if you live somewhere dense the answer is usually to skip anything asking for a card number to read messages rather than move to a proper conversation quickly.

For a change of pace, datedesire reads as more honest about anyone dating after a break, though your mileage will vary.

Granted most of the free apps look similar, the search filter setup differs a little, and it shows in the reply rate. Having tried most of these, the older established sites have improved the filtering a fair bit, which changes the whole experience.
